Vicki Knox | Dip. VN (distinction), RVN

Senior Veterinary Nurse/GlenBred Administrator

Vicki joined MVS in October 2014 as part of our GlenBred Team.

Vicki graduated top of her class at Massey University in 2006. After graduating she worked as a veterinary nurse with Beach Vets, Waihi Beach from 2007-2014.

Vicki has a number of roles at GlenBred. Primarily she handles all of our administration and is your first point of call for all semen collection and insemination enquiries. Vicki is also one of our qualified vet nurses who you will meet at semen collections and inseminations, but you will get to know her well by phone and e-mail during the management of your bitch in the weeks leading up to AI.

She loves to receive photos of your puppies and dogs in the show ring.

Outside of work Vicki enjoys running, playing soccer and keeping fit.


Hillary Schifferer | BSc

Semen Storage and Distribution Manager

Hillary joined MVS in August 2016 as part of the Equine Reproduction Team.

Hillary arrived in New Zealand and joined MVS in August of 2016 as a Reproduction Nurse. She has also taken on the role of Canine Semen Storage and Distribution Manager.

After completing a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Kentucky she moved to Ireland to complete the Irish National Stud Breeding Course. During her time in Kentucky, Hillary worked in a Small Animal hospital as a Veterinary Reproduction and Surgery technician and as a Reproduction and NICU Veterinary Technician at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. Born and raised in Chandler, Arizona with a love for golden retrievers, she couldn’t stay away from the Reproduction industry in Lexington, Kentucky. With  a love of tramping, Hillary is thrilled to be living in New Zealand and continue her career in Veterinary Reproduction.

Hillary is the primary person in charge of maintaining our many long-term storage tanks, getting semen dispatches and sent all over NZ and the world. Hillary can help answer any questions you may have with frozen semen.


Georgia Young | BSc

Semen Storage and Distribution Manager

Georgia joined MVS in October 2018 as part of our Reproduction team.

Georgia graduated from Massey University in 2017, where she studied Genetics and Equine science. Georgia spent some time with MVS prior to her studies and has worked multiple seasons for Waikato Stud and Kilmore Farm in the yearling preparation and sales team/s. Georgia has a keen interest in all aspects of Reproduction and is looking forward to furthering her knowledge in this field. Georgia is the primary person in charge of maintaining our many long-term storage tanks, getting semen dispatched and sent all over NZ and the world for both Canine and Equine.

Outside of work Georgia enjoys horse riding, snowboarding and hiking.
