Lisa Holder

Business Manager

Lisa joined MVS in August of 2005 as part of our Administration team and in November 2012 was promoted to Business Manager.

Lisa is currently studying part time to achieve her Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Human Resource Management. She is actively involved in the day to day operations of MVS with a primary focus on human resources.  Lisa especially enjoys proactively working with our many teams to support them in achieving their goals.

Lisa is a dedicated mum to her son Evan and loves to get out and about with him as often as possible.  She enjoys all things outdoors, with a keen passion for horse riding and scuba diving!

Natalie George

Natalie started with MVS Equine  in July 2008. She has extensive experience in office administration and the Thoroughbred industry which includes having been Office Manager at Cambridge Thoroughbred Lodge. Natalie has also worked in racing stables before and is currently an ‘unpaid’ employee of her husband, racing trainer Ian George.

Sophia Donnelly | BBS, BSc

Equine Veterinary Technician & Administrator

Sophia joined MVS July 2016 as part of our Administration team. In May 2017 she moved into a mixed technician and administration role. Sophia graduated from Massey University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Business Studies, and again in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science.

Sophia currently works alongside Veterinarian, Dave Keenan, assisting him as a technician and with his administration, including coordination of thoroughbred sales work, pre-purchase examinations, and clinical appointments.

Outside of work Sophia competes her horses in a range of disciplines, and also enjoys snowsports and travel.

Hilary Gray

Hilary joined MVS as part of our Equine Administration team in 2016.  Originally from the UK, Hilary worked for Darley Stud Management in the UK before heading to Kentucky and then Singapore where she was an Assistant Trainer for three years prior to coming to New Zealand.  She and her husband have a dairy farm in the South Waikato and breed ponies for polo.


Stephanie Picket

Stephanie joined MVS Equine in 2017 as part of our Administration Team

Steph has a strong background in finance and administration having previously worked extensively in the banking industry.

Steph prides herself on going that extra mile for her customers and she plays an integral role in looking after our busy team who have become very accustomed to being spoilt by her impressive culinary talents!

Outside of work Steph loves spending time in her garden with her dogs, cats and 9 ½ chickens.  She knits, crochets and bakes for not only our lucky team but also for multiple Charities and she is a devoted grandmother to her two adorable grand daughters!

Louise Lloyd

Louise joined MVS in July 2019 as part of our administration team.

Louise graduated from the University of Waikato in 2012 with a Bachelor of Sport and Leisure Studies (BSpLs). She then worked for a horse trainer in Auckland before moving to Matamata 5 years ago where she managed the Bulk Foods department for New World. Louise then joined the Marks Ewen & Associates team as an administrator before taking over the stock management processes for the clinic.

Going forward Louise will be in charge of the ordering and stock control at the Equine Hospital and will also assist with administration duties as part of her role.

Outside of work Louise enjoys being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, spending time with her animals (one horse and two dogs) and playing sport.

Calida Gomas

Calida joined MVS in August 2019 as part of our administration team.

Calida has grown up around horses. Competing during her pony club years, she then went on to complete her Advanced Equine Certificate after college passing with the best overall student award, before entering the racing industry. She held her trainers license for a time in partnership before injury sidelined her for a year. Calida then went on to ride trackwork for Te Akau Racing for 5 years.

Calida is part time supporting the administration team. She is looking forward to learning all aspects of the administration side of the industry.

Outside of work Calida enjoys playing golf and is a member at the local Matamata Golf Club. Her best handicap to date is a projected 10.6 and she is hoping to one day get to a single digit.
