Semen Laboratory Manager

Anne Lowe joined MVS in October 2020 as a part of our Equine nursing team, and in 2023 took on the role as Semen Laboratory Manager for MVS EquiBreed.

Anne graduated her vet degree from University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in year 2008. She moved to New Zealand in 2008 with her husband and two daughters. She has held several different positions within the veterinary industry in the Waikato involving both small and large animals. Main equine areas of interest are breeding, surgery and neonatal care.

Outside of work Anne enjoys time together with her husband and 2 daughters, 3 dogs and 3 horses. She enjoys competing in dressage and showing. She also enjoys playing badminton and competing in this field too.


Dot Hallyburton

Veterinary Nurse

MVS Equine’s head nurse, Dot moved to New Zealand from Scotland in 1999 to work as the foreman for a Cambridge racehorse trainer and held an amateur jockey licence before joining the team in 2005. Prior to moving, Dot was an instructor at Gleneagles Equestrian Centre in Scotland and a groom for the Irish event team. Dot oversees the care and wellbeing of your mares during their stay at MVS.
