Production Animal Intern

Ryley joined MVS in January 2019 as part of our Farm Services Team after graduating from the University of Queensland in November 2018.

Ryley worked as a Production Animal Intern with a particular interest in calf rearing and reproductive health. She was also interested in herd health management of sheep and bull breeding soundness. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, swimming, horse riding and the gym.

She finished her internship with MVS in January 2020 and returned to Australia to further her veterinary career.

We wish her all the very best for the future


Gavin Ford

Stock and Procurement Manager

Gavin joined MVS in September 2018 as part of our Tainui Street team.

Gavin graduated from Lincoln University in 1996 and soon after, began work for PGG Wrightson in the retail sector. He also spent time working as a general shepherd in the Taranaki hill country. An interest in the Animal Health area has led to taking up a role with MVS to further increase his knowledge in this area.

Gavin worked with Abby in the retail/stock team to ensure stock levels are kept to a standard to meet seasonal requirements of our clients and vets.

Outside of work Gavin enjoys most sports including rugby, tennis and golf. He took up triathlons after his rugby days finished and his most memorable experience came when participating in the Escape From Alcatraz triathlon in San Francisco. He also enjoys woodworking.       

Gavin left MVS in August 2019 and remains in touch. We wish him all the very best for the future.


Amy Harding | BVSc Hons

Production Animal Intern

Amy joined MVS in June 2018 as part of our Production Animal Team.

Amy graduated from the University of Queensland in November, 2017.

Amy is working as a production animal vet with particular interests in reproductive health and lameness.

Outside of work Amy enjoys sports, anything from netball and Australian Rules Football to polocrosse, outdoor adventures and music.

She finished her ‘extended internship’ with MVS in July 2019. She remains in touch and we wish he all the very best for the future.


Neil Brown

Neil retired from MVS after 13 years to spend more time being a grandfather.

Peter Davidson | BVSc

November 30, 2017

Peter retired from MVS after 27 years to pursue his new career as a grazier.

Peter graduated from Massey University and joined the MVS Farm team in 1989. He was an MVS Director and InCalf Advisor. Peter is a former president of Dairy Cattle Veterinarians of New Zealand and sat on the Board of the DairyNZ Animal Welfare Advisory Committee. His special areas of interest were feed planning, herd nutrition, reproduction and mastitis.

Peter continues to remain in touch and we wish him all the very best for the future.

Veterinarian

Adrienne left MVS in January 2017 after her one year Farm and Companion Animal Internship ended and she gained employment with Aorangi Veterinary Services in the South Island.

David Arjomandi

October 30, 2014

David joined the MVS team in October 2014 as Dairy Administration Support to cover Katherine’s maternity leave.
He moved to New Zealand from the United States in 2011, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
David is an avid football player and supporter and enjoys traveling around New Zealand.

He left Matamata Vets in December 2015 after Katherine returned from maternity leave and we wish him all the best for his wedding in January 2016
