Are your calves ready to leave home? Have your heifers arrived home lighter than you hoped?

Are your calves ready to leave home?

For most farmers we now recommend spring-born calves receive a Copper bolus prior to heading off to grazing.

This ensures optimal calf health, growth and reproductive performance for the next 3 to 6 months. Along with copper we also recommend a Prolaject B12 & Selenium injection, and a proven effective combination pour-on or injectable drench like Eclipse, or Eclipse E.

Talk to us about options to help ensure these animals can have the best chance to perform as well as possible and get back in calf this coming season.

Often poor nutrition at grazing will have compounded an underlying trace element issue, making the result on heifer performance much worse than it necessarily needed to be. Act now to minimise the effect and get these animals back on par in time.
