Spore count results for grass samples brought into the clinic for testing this week are as follows:
- Hinuera West – Nil on 16.2.2017
- Matamata – Nil (Tower Road) on 13.2.2017 and 10,000 (Racecourse area) on 16.2.2017
- Ngarua – 15,000 (moderate) on 16.2.2017
- Peria – Nil on 13.2.2017 and 5,000 (low) on 16.2.2017
- Piarere – 150,000 VERY HIGH on 15.2.2017
- Richmond Downs – 10,000 (low) on 13.2.2017
- Te Poi – Nil on 16.2.2017
- Tirau – Nil on 13.2.2017 and 14.2.2017 and 5,000 (low) on 13.2.2017 and 14.2.2017
- Walton – Nil on 13.2.2017
- Wardville – Nil on 13.2.2017 and 17.2.2017
We are starting to see some very high spore counts. Current rainfall may be lowering some spore counts BUT when the hot weather returns we can expect to see the counts rise again.
