Grass samples tested this week from the MVS Monitor Farms have shown the following:
- Hinuera Monitor Paddocks – 30,000 spores/gram
- Matamata Monitor Paddocks – 20,000 spores/gram
- Te Poi Monitor Paddocks – 12,000 spores/gram
- Tirau Monitor Paddocks – 23,000 spores/gram
- Walton Monitor Paddocks – 9,000 spores/grams
As expected counts on our monitor farms have started trending up in the last week, with counts across three monitor areas reaching up to and over 20,000 spores/gram.
This week grass samples have only been submitted from our monitor farms, and with the recent rain we expect that individual farms are likely to have counts higher than what we are seeing on monitor farms. Whilst monitor farms provide trend data and indicate that counts are increasing, actual on farm risk is unknown until you submit grass samples. |
