Spore count alert

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the district counts needed to be collated by 2pm on Wednesday this week. Therefore the risk levels for the period ended 2nd April are:

Matamata – High, South Waikato – High and Piako – Moderate

Spore count results for grass samples brought into the clinic for testing this week are as follows:

• Hinuera East – 10,000 (low) on 2.4.14
• Hinuera West – 70,000  (high) on 4.4.14
• Matamata – 70,000 (high) on 3.4.14
• Peria – 15,000 (low) on 31.3.14
• Te Poi – 80,000 (high) on 31.3.14
• Turanga-o-moana (very high) on 3.4.14
