Cat and Kitten Vaccinations

May 23, 2012

We vaccinate cats to prevent them from the feline diseases:

  • Feline Panleukopoenia
  • Feline Herpes Virus
  • Feline Calcivirus

We can start vaccinations from 6 – 8 weeks of age but some kittens will have received their first vaccination with the breeder. Thereafter, vaccines are required every 4 weeks until the kitten is over 16 weeks of age (as per the World Small Animal Veterinary Association guidelines).
Once the kitten vaccination regime is completed they will require a health check every year. During this health check the living circumstances of your pet will be discussed and they will then be vaccinated with either and annual or tri annual vaccination, depending on their needs.
