Grass samples tested this week from the MVS Monitor Farms have shown the following:
- Hinuera Monitor Paddocks – 43,333 spores/gram
- Matamata Monitor Paddocks – 23,333 spores/gram
- Te Poi Monitor Paddocks – 23,333 spores/gram
- Tirau Monitor Paddocks – 53,333 spores/gram
- Walton Monitor Paddocks – 26,600 spores/grams
Spore counts in our monitor areas continue to rise with some paddocks increasing by as much as 30,000. We are all patiently waiting for the rain and if the forecast is correct, we may be in for a shower or two. If so we expect spore counts to shoot up.
