Spore counts are getting up

Spore count results for grass samples brought into the clinic for testing this week are as follows:

• Hinuera West – 45,000 (high) on 29.1.2016
• Matamata – 60,000 (high) on 28.1.2016
• Peria – 70,000 on 25.01.2016; and 50,000 and 10,000 on 26.01.2016
• Puketutu – 5,000 (low) on 25.01.2016
• Richmond Downs – 25,000 (low) on 29.01.2016
• Te Poi – 10,000 (low) on 26.01.2016
• Tirau – 5,000 (low) on 27.01.2016
• Turanga-o-moana – 10,000 (low)  on 28.01.2016

We are continuing to see elevated spore counts. The current humid weather conditions favour spore production.
