July 3, 2016

Veterinary Nurse

Christina joined MVS Small Animals in September 2015 after being at the Animal Emergency Centre in Mt Albert, Auckland for 4 years.

She completed her Veterinary Nursing Diploma in December 2011 at the Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland and prior to that spent 3 years calf rearing in the South Island.

Christina really enjoys a challenge at work and is always willing to do her best to help patients through the tough times.  Emergency and toxicity cases are a main interest of hers and with her vast experience is where she most excels.   Christina is often found lingering at reception ensuring our retail products are fully stocked or sourcing alternatives for our clients.

A quote that Christina especially resonates with is “loving animals means loving all animals, not just the ones we share our homes with”.

Outside of work Christina can  be found on her lifestyle block doing up or fixing things.  She enjoys spending valuable time with her husband Willem and her son’s Larson & Colton.  Christina is also on the secretary on the Matamata Equestrian Group committee where they hold a Horse Trial in Matamata each year in March.   She has 2 cats called Jax and Tara and 3 chickens who keep her very entertained outside of work hours.
